Y.5-7 Visit to Titanic, Belfast
Y.5-7 visited Titanic, Belfast on Monday 18th May and had a great day looking around the different exhibits and experiencing what it would have been like to work in the shipyard. Everyone has enjoyed learning about the fascinating but very sad story of the ship.

Y. 5-7 Residential trip to Gortatole Outdoor Education Centre - Shared Education
Y.5-7 had a fantastic time at Gortatole Outdoor Education Centre when they visited from 13th - 15th May. Along with pupils from Tummery Primary School and St. John's College, they enjoyed lots of activities: caving, wall climbing, archery, paddle sport, team games, bushcraft and orienteering. Well done to all the children who participated so well, challenging themselves with new and exciting experiences.

Concert
Well done to all the boys and girls who sang as part of a concert held in Holy Trinity Church, Dromore on Friday 24th April. Everyone had a very enjoyable night and the children did themselves proud! We were very grateful for the opportunity to be part of this very special event.

Toy and Book Sale
The School Council organised a very successful Toy and Book sale in aid of school funds and Abrahm, a boy the school sponsors through Compassion. It was great to welcome family and friends. Thank you to everyone who supported the sale in any way.

KS2 Titanic Models
The children worked in groups to design and make Titanic ships as part of their World Around Us topic.

Easter Fun!
Everyone enjoyed an Easter Egg Hunt in the school grounds before going off to enjoy the Easter holidays. Lots of fun was had by all.

World Book Day
Lots of fabulous costumes were on show at our World Book Day Dress Up competition. On the day, the children also enjoyed a Book Swap and other book related activities and competitions. Well done everybody!

Environmental Youth Speak Competition - February 2026
Year 7 pupils Erin, Shiloh and Freddie, represented the school at a local Environmental Youth Speak Competition run by Fermanagh and Omagh District Council. The competition took place in the South West College, Omagh where the children spoke on the theme, 'The Importance of Reuse and Repair' Well done to everyone for participating so well.

K.S.2 STEM Club
Y.5-7 had the opportunity to design and make magnetic games during a STEM after school club recently. Everyone enjoyed working together in small groups, being creative and making decisions.

Y3,4 Shared Education Trip to the Ulster American Folk Park, Omagh.
The children enjoyed dressing up and finding out about the past with friends from Tummery Primary School. A great day was had by all.

Wonderful Winter Wildlife workshops
Reece from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council came to visit us. He did workshops with all the children and discussed biodiversity including wildlife in winter. The children made bird feeders with wire and hung them out in the school grounds for the birds to enjoy. Thank you, Reece.

Shared Education
Years 5-7 have continued to enjoy Shared Education Activities with Tummery Primary School and St. John's College. During one class the children considered the importance of pollination and made Bug Hotels for the outdoors. They looked great! Y3-4 will soon have the opportunity to enjoy Drama with pupils from Tummery Primary School.

Christmas Production - December 2025
The children performed their Christmas plays brilliantly to an audience of family and friends on Wednesday 17 th December. 'Noisy Nativity' was performed by Y.1 -4, followed by a performance of 'A Ruff, Ruff Night in Bethlehem' by Y.5-7. Refreshments were kindly provided by the Parent Support Group and after a draw, lucky winners received beautiful hampers. Well done everybody!

At Christmas time we love to visit Kenwell's shop in Dromore. There are always lots of lovely decorations to look at.

Christmas is coming!
The children are getting very excited as Christmas gets closer! They enjoyed a fabulous Christmas dinner on 11 th December as well as participating in Christmas Jumper Day in aid of the Save the Children Fund. There is lots of fun in the classrooms with various different Christmas themed activities being planned. Everyone is busy preparing for our Christmas Production on Wednesday 17 th December at 7pm. All will be made welcome!
